The AST Level 1 is an introductory avalanche course, offered over two days (or the equivalent). This course follows the AST 1 syllabus developed by the Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC) and a certificate will be issued at the end of the course. This AST Level 1 course is a prerequisite for more advanced CAC courses (AST Level 2, CRS or professionnal courses). It is offered to skier, snowboarder, snowshoer and ice climber.
