The Jonas Pass - Brazeau Lake Loop is one of
Jasper National Park’s premier backpacking trips. The Loop
features three incredible passes, including the second highest
trail pass in the park, a number of impressive glaciers, the
headwaters of the Brazeau River and the vast alpine meadows
that drape this remote area.
The Loop follows ancient trails
that were once used by indigenous peoples and later by
trappers and mountain men. Wildlife viewing opportunities
are abundant as the area is home to caribou, grizzly bear, elk,
moose, wolves, various birds of prey and other mountain
wildlife.
